GMC Sierra EV Elevation, AT4 & Denali Trims

In the newer full lineup, Elevation is the straightforward work-and-daily-use trim, AT4 adds trail-focused hardware, and Denali emphasizes a richer cabin and hands-free highway driving.

The Denali Edition 1 is the fully equipped launch version from the Sierra EV’s first model year. It combines a 440-mile GM-estimated range with four-wheel steering, adjustable air suspension, an expandable bed, and a Denali cabin.

On newer models, the main difference is the battery. Elevation Standard Range is rated for up to 283 miles and 605 horsepower, while Extended Range reaches up to 410 miles and 645 horsepower. Their core screen, front trunk, heated controls, and flexible tailgate are similar.

On newer models, Denali Extended Range uses a larger battery for a bigger driving cushion. Both retain the Denali focus, including quilted seating, wood trim, heated and ventilated front seats, hands-free highway driving, and Bose audio.

In recent years, Denali Max Range adds the larger battery and stronger output. It reaches a GM-estimated 478 miles and 760 horsepower, while keeping the luxury cabin, Bose audio, and hands-free highway driving found in Denali Extended Range.

On newer models, both AT4 versions have the same trail-focused basics: extra ground clearance, Terrain Mode, four-wheel steering, and CrabWalk. Max Range adds the larger battery, raising estimated range from up to 390 miles to up to 478 miles.

In the newer lineup, AT4 adds the off-road hardware Elevation lacks: a lifted suspension with 2 inches of extra clearance, Terrain Mode, four-wheel steering with CrabWalk, and a head-up display. It also has heated and ventilated front seats.

AT4 is the trail-focused Sierra EV, with extra clearance, Terrain Mode, and CrabWalk. Denali is the comfort-focused version, with quilted seating, wood trim, Bose audio, and hands-free highway driving. Battery choices vary within both branches in newer lineups.

On newer Sierra EVs, Denali adds a more upscale cabin and more highway convenience. Key upgrades include quilted upholstery, wood trim, ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, Bose audio, and hands-free highway driving.

Elevation is the straightforward pick in the newer lineup. It keeps the large touchscreen, powered front trunk, heated front seats, four-wheel drive, and flexible MultiPro tailgate without the AT4 trail hardware or Denali cabin upgrades.

A Max Range version gives the biggest driving cushion in the newer lineup, with up to 478 miles of GM-estimated range. Denali Max Range favors comfort and hands-free highway driving; AT4 Max Range pairs the large battery with off-road hardware.

Look for an AT4 from the newer lineup. It has a lifted suspension, 2 inches of extra ground clearance, a slow-speed Terrain Mode, and four-wheel steering with CrabWalk. Extended Range and Max Range versions share that off-road focus.

In the newer full lineup, Denali Standard Range, Denali Extended Range, and Denali Max Range include Super Cruise, GMC’s hands-free highway driving system. Elevation and AT4 are not identified here with that feature.

CrabWalk is confirmed on the newer AT4 Extended Range and AT4 Max Range, plus the launch-only Denali Edition 1. It uses four-wheel steering to move the truck diagonally at low speed, which can help in tight situations.

It is a removable wall between the cabin and bed that lets long items extend into the cab area. On the launch-only Denali Edition 1, combining it with the MultiPro tailgate expands the load floor to nearly 11 feet.
