Yes. Every GMC HUMMER EV uses an all-electric powertrain and four-wheel drive. There is no gas-only or hybrid version in this model line.

It has been sold in both forms. The pickup arrived first, followed by the shorter SUV with a rear swing gate. Both are four-door, five-seat electric vehicles.

It is known for huge power, dramatic styling and unusual trail features. Four-wheel steering, adjustable air suspension, removable roof panels and a large-screen cabin define the experience more than traditional work-truck duties do.

It suits someone who wants a large electric vehicle with strong acceleration, off-road hardware and plenty of visual presence. Shoppers focused mainly on efficiency or conventional work-truck use may find its priorities less practical.

Many HUMMER EVs have the Infinity Roof with removable Sky Panels for an open-air cabin. It is a defining feature of newer 2X and 3X models, but equipment should be checked on the individual used vehicle.

CrabWalk turns all four wheels so the vehicle can move diagonally at low speed. Extract Mode raises the air suspension to provide extra clearance when crossing difficult terrain.

There is one generation so far. It began with the HUMMER EV Pickup for 2022, later expanded to the SUV, and received feature and software updates rather than a full redesign for 2026.
