The Cadillac Escalade IQ lineup splits two ways: bright Luxury styling or darker Sport styling, each with an entry and premium equipment tier. Luxury and Luxury 1 are the bright-trim starting point, while Sport and Sport 1 bring a darker, more assertive look to the same core electric SUV. Pick Luxury for brighter, more traditional exterior details. Pick Sport for a darker, less formal look. Their core experience is closely matched, including dual-motor all-wheel drive, the 55-inch display, air suspension and four-wheel steering.
The upper tier makes sense if massaging seats, thermal night vision, power doors, richer audio or faster home-charging hardware matter to you. The entry trims already have the giant display, air suspension, four-wheel steering and front trunk.
The upper trims do. Luxury 2 and Sport 2 on early models, or Premium Luxury and Premium Sport on newer ones, use a 19.2-kW onboard charger. Entry models use an 11.5-kW unit.
The upper tier has the strongest system. Early Luxury 2 and Sport 2 models use a 36-speaker AKG setup. Newer Premium Luxury and Premium Sport models have a 38-speaker AKG system with Dolby Atmos.
Those features belong to the upper tier: Luxury 2 and Sport 2 on early models, then Premium Luxury and Premium Sport after the naming change. The front seats also gain power-adjustable side supports.
On newer models, Premium Luxury and Premium Sport include the smart trailering package. They combine that towing equipment with the upper tier’s faster home-charging hardware, power doors and added cabin comforts.
