Audi Q8

The Q8 is a sportier coupe-like variant of Audi’s midsize luxury crossover SUV, the Q7. Unlike its three-row sibling, the Q8 has two rows and room for five passengers. It’s the largest fastback SUV in the German automaker’s lineup, measuring about a foot longer than the compact Q5 Sportback. Audi also sells two high-performance versions, the 500-horsepower SQ8 and the 591-hp RS Q8 (reviewed separately).

The Q8 comes in three trims: the entry-level Premium, the mid-tier Premium Plus, and the range-topping Prestige. As Audi’s flagship SUV, it comes with a generous level of standard equipment, including LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, a digital instrument panel, leather upholstery, heated front seats, navigation, and a dual-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Standard safety features include forward collision mitigation, lane-departure warning, parking sensors, and (as of 2021) blind-spot warning. Some notable options include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, a surround-view camera, and an adaptive air suspension.

Under the hood, the Q8 employs a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. It generates 335 horsepower, which is routed to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
