Audi A4 allroad

The A4 Allroad is one of the few remaining choices for those who want the utility of an SUV but with the more car-like ride and handling of a wagon. The longroof Audi delivers both in a big way. It boasts the same strong performance as the German automaker’s compact sports sedan, the A4, with double the available cargo space. Owners point to the A4 Allroad’s standout styling, comfortable ride, and refined cabin as major highlights. On the other hand, some notable drawbacks include its high purchase price and running costs and its occasionally frustrating-to-use tech features.

Audi A4 allroad Model Lineup

The A4 Allroad is a compact luxury wagon with room for up to five passengers. Compared to Audi’s similarly sized A4 sedan (upon which it’s based), the A4 Allroad offers not only twice the cargo space but also 1.3 additional inches of ground clearance and some rugged-looking body cladding to signal its outdoorsy nature. It’s the smaller of two wagons offered by Audi, measuring about eight inches shorter than the midsize A6 Allroad.

Audi offers the A4 Allroad in three trims: the entry-level Premium, the mid-range Premium Plus, and the top-of-the-line Prestige. All come well equipped with standard features, including a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, three-zone automatic climate control, forward collision mitigation, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. In 2020, the standard infotainment display was upgraded from 7.0 to 10.1 inches. Heated front seats joined the standard-features list in 2021, as did lane-departure warning. Additional safety tech, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, and lane-keeping assist, is optional or limited to higher trim levels. Other notable options include LED headlights, navigation, ventilated front seats, and dual-pane acoustic glass.

Under the hood, the A4 Allroad sports a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The mill initially produced about 250 horsepower but in 2021 got a bump to 261 ponies thanks to the addition of a 12-volt mild-hybrid system. Output is routed to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

I am totally pleased with this car and its features such as the instrument panel control, the hands free rear entry opening, the stereo sound system and especially the all interior and exterior LED lightening.

Very high tech, takes a little time to understand and get used to all the buttons and controls. Virtual cockpit is amazing. Quiet cabin. Modern 4 cylinder cars like this one are powerful and smooth, with good acceleration and does not feel strained. Dual clutch is awesome.

One of a kind car. Great styling. Roomy interior without being an SUV. Superb handling for a car it's size.

The Allroad is definitely sporty and fun to drive. We have enjoyed many of the new features on this car such as compatibility with our i-phone nav app, ability to adjust the drive mode i.e.. dynamic was excellent on highway during gusting cross winds, push button tail gate function, control layout and function much better than our old Q5.
