2026 Ram 3500: What's New, Specs & Features
Last updated August 4, 2026

The main change for the 2026 Ram 3500 is that the Longhorn trim is renamed Limited Longhorn. Otherwise, this is a quiet carryover year with the same engines, design, safety equipment and screen lineup as 2025.
About the 2026 Ram 3500
5th generation (2019-present), second model year after the 2025 mid-cycle refresh
Ram positions the 3500 as its maximum-capability heavy-duty pickup for demanding commercial work, large trailers and high payloads. Its defining strengths are available high-output diesel torque, up to 36,610 pounds of towing capacity, a leaf-spring rear suspension and single- or dual-rear-wheel configurations. Unlike strictly work-focused rivals, the range also offers upscale cabins, large screens and premium seating on higher trims without giving up core hauling and towing hardware.
The 2026 Ram 3500 ranges from the work-focused Tradesman to more comfortable Big Horn and Lone Star versions, while Laramie adds leather-trimmed seating and a 12-inch touchscreen. Limited and Limited Longhorn emphasize luxury with premium leather, a 14.5-inch touchscreen and a 17-speaker audio system. Gas V8 and high-output Cummins turbo-diesel six-cylinder engines remain paired with eight-speed automatic transmissions.
