About the 2026 Dodge Charger

Current all-new Charger generation introduced for 2025; 2026 is the second model year and the first year the gas-powered SIXPACK trims join the range.

Dodge positions the Charger as a modern muscle car that gives buyers choice without giving up attitude. The big themes are powertrain choice, standard all-wheel drive, switchable rear-drive character, bold widebody looks and a more useful hatchback body than the old sedan-only Charger. Against rivals, Dodge leans on big horsepower, dramatic styling, real back-seat and cargo space, and a cockpit that mixes performance pages with everyday tech.

The 2026 range spans the 420-hp gas R/T, the more performance-focused 550-hp gas Scat Pack and the Daytona Scat Pack EV. Gas models have standard AWD with a button-activated rear-drive mode, while Plus versions add features such as a 16-inch driver display, a head-up display and a 360-degree camera.

What changed, by category

Powertrain
Gas power returns to the new-generation Charger through the added R/T, R/T Plus, Scat Pack and Scat Pack Plus trims. The R/T versions use a 420-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six, while the Scat Pack versions use a 550-hp high-output form of that engine; the Daytona Scat Pack EV continues alongside them.
Styling
The new SIXPACK gas models receive a performance hood, gas-specific rear styling and dual exhaust outlets. The core widebody hatchback shape carries over.
