About the 2026 Acura MDX

4th generation (introduced for 2022), second year after the 2025 mid-cycle update

Acura positions the MDX as a three-row premium performance SUV that combines seating for seven and useful cargo space with more driver-focused handling than many family SUVs. Its main distinctions are a standard V6, double-wishbone front suspension, an extensive safety suite, generous standard technology and an optional torque-vectoring AWD system. The Type S adds substantially stronger acceleration and adjustable air suspension without giving up three-row practicality.

The 2026 MDX is a three-row SUV with a 290-hp V6, a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a broad set of driver-assistance features. Technology models emphasize leather, premium audio and everyday convenience, while A-Spec versions add a sportier look and cabin. Advance models bring massaging front seats and a surround-view camera, and Type S Advance stands apart with a 355-hp turbo V6, air suspension and larger front brakes.
