About the 2025 Toyota Tundra

3rd generation Tundra (2022-present), fourth model year, no major refresh.

Toyota positions the Tundra as a full-size pickup that works hard during the week and heads out for adventure on the weekend. Its identity centers on twin-turbo V6 power, an available high-torque hybrid, a strong composite bed, serious towing ability, and a more comfort-focused multi-link rear suspension. Versus many rivals, Toyota leans on durability, everyday drivability, and a broad range that stretches from basic work-truck duty to luxury-truck comfort and real off-road capability.

The SR5 remains the everyday, do-most-things Tundra, with built-in towing hardware and a newly standard power-adjustable driver’s seat. TRD Pro is the trail-focused model, pairing a hybrid V6 with upgraded off-road suspension and a locking rear differential. At the luxury end, Platinum, 1794 Edition, and Capstone combine 14-inch touchscreens with newly standard massaging front seats.

“The truck doesn't feel tough but drives nice. The overall reliability is in question, make sure you get an extended warranty.”
