All-new F66/F65 Hardtop family, first U.S. model year for this generation in 2025.

The 2025 MINI Hardtop is MINI’s small, premium hatchback built around compact size, distinctive design, and the brand’s trademark go-kart feel. In 2-door form it is the classic, city-friendly MINI formula; in 4-door form it keeps that personality while adding easier rear-seat access and more everyday usefulness. MINI positions it as a stylish alternative to ordinary small cars, with more personality, upscale cabin design, and unusually generous standard features for its size.

The Cooper remains the city-friendly entry model, while the Cooper S has a more athletic character and the limited Oxford Edition emphasizes useful comfort and safety features. Signature versions add conveniences such as remote start, keyless entry, and wireless charging, while the later-arriving JCW 2 Door brings sport seats, upgraded brakes, adjustable dampers, and premium audio.

Structural

The Hardtop moves to an all-new generation, with the F66 2 Door and F65 4 Door replacing the previous models. Oxford, Cooper Signature, Cooper S Signature, and John Cooper Works Signature variants join the lineup.

Powertrain

The U.S. Hardtop range uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The electric Cooper SE leaves the Hardtop lineup for 2025.

Styling

The cabin is completely redesigned around MINI's circular central display and an updated row of toggle controls.

Tech

Navigation, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel become standard across the lineup. The broader standard-equipment upgrade also brings features such as a head-up display and panoramic moonroof to the mainstream Hardtop range.

Safety

Parking assistance becomes standard on the Cooper S and John Cooper Works and is part of the broader equipment upgrade. The new Oxford and Signature variants include MINI's Active Driving Assistant safety suite.

“The JCW is a super fun vehicle to drive. There are hot hatches with more power, but you don't need any more. MINIs in general are very distinctive and drive differently than other hot hatches. The "go-kart handling" characteristic of MINIs is very real!”
