“Overall it is a good car, looks great, nice and roomy, comfortable for front and back passengers. Takes longer to charge than expected. I turn off Driver assist as it has caused me to almost get into 3 separate accidents. The driver assist definitely needs to be updated/fixed, other than that my only other complaint is that the car doesn't have an eyeglass compartment.”

About the 2024 VinFast VF 8
1st generation (2023-present), second U.S. model year; 2024 standardizes the longer-range battery and adds a midyear suspension running update.
VinFast positions the VF 8 as a midsize five-seat AWD electric SUV that mixes big-screen technology, a roomy cabin, and distinctive styling rather than a stripped-down EV experience. The brand’s own VF 8 page leans on “Precision Driving Pleasure,” interior space, safety technology, and upscale touches like the head-up display. For most shoppers, the VF 8’s core role is a family-size EV with standard AWD and a feature-rich cabin in an everyday-friendly size.
The 2024 VF 8 is a midsize electric SUV with dual-motor AWD, a roomy cabin, and a 15.6-inch touchscreen. Eco is the range-focused version, with 349 horsepower and a 264-mile EPA range. Plus emphasizes comfort and performance with 402 horsepower, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats in both rows, and a 243-mile EPA range.
