About the 2024 Nissan Versa

3rd generation Versa sedan (2020-present), refreshed for 2023; 2024 is the second year after that update.

Nissan positions the Versa as a small sedan that goes beyond bare-minimum transportation. The OEM message centers on strong fuel economy, a roomy cabin for its size, useful trunk space, and a long list of standard or available driver-assistance features. In the market, the Versa’s core appeal is simple: it is a city-friendly, easy-to-own sedan for commuters and first-time buyers who want modern safety tech and a grown-up interior without moving up to a larger, pricier compact car.

The S is the straightforward commuter, with a 7-inch touchscreen and core safety features such as automatic emergency braking. The SV adds Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and blind-spot alerts, while the SR brings sportier styling, an 8-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, and adaptive cruise control.

How the 2025 Nissan Versa compares

The 2025 Nissan Versa is a true carryover from 2024, with no major product changes. It remains a later-year version of the third-generation sedan rather than a redesign or refresh.

Frequently asked questions

What changed on the 2024 Nissan Versa compared with the 2023 model?

Nothing significant changed for 2024. The Versa carries over the same S, SV, and SR lineup, 122-hp 1.6-liter engine, styling, safety equipment, and touchscreen setups from 2023.

Does the 2024 Nissan Versa still have a manual transmission?

Yes. The 2024 Versa S retains a manual transmission, while a continuously variable automatic transmission is also offered on the S and is standard on the SV and SR.

Which 2024 Nissan Versa trims have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto?

The 2024 Versa SV and SR have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The base S has a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and voice recognition but does not include those smartphone connections.

What safety features are standard on the 2024 Nissan Versa?

Every 2024 Versa has automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, and lane-departure warning. The SV and SR add blind-spot and rear cross-traffic alerts, while the SR also has adaptive cruise control.

Is the 2024 Nissan Versa meaningfully different from the 2023 Versa?

No. The 2024 Versa is a carryover, so the better used-car choice comes down to trim, condition, mileage, and service history rather than a meaningful model-year update.

“I love the Nissan Versa. But the tires that came with the car are poor, and I've never had a car with such poor tires on it being brand new. All my cars in my life have been brand new. These tires got less than 13,000 miles on them, and they're just crap. I'm in Wisconsin and never had such bad tires.”

“Le recomendaría ampliamente el vehículo como un primer carro que cuenta con todo lo necesario y puede ser muy bueno a la hora de empezar a manejar algún vehículo económico y con buen rendimiento y con buenas características de seguridad y a muy buen precio.”
