About the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV

1st generation (X294), first U.S. model year

Mercedes-Benz positioned the EQE SUV as the everyday midsize electric all-rounder in its luxury SUV family: compact enough for routine driving, roomy for five and equipped with much of the cabin technology found in the larger EQS SUV. Its core appeal is quiet electric travel, a comfort-focused ride, flexible cargo space and navigation that plans charging stops. Compared with sportier rivals, its emphasis is cabin comfort, technology and easy daily use.

The EQE 350+ is the range-focused version, with a 288-hp rear motor, while the EQE 350 4MATIC uses two motors and AWD for stronger traction. The 402-hp EQE 500 4MATIC is the performance-focused and more richly equipped version, with rear-wheel steering, leather upholstery and sport-styled exterior details. Every version has a 12.8-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch driver display and surround-view parking cameras.

2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV EQE 350 RWD

“It's a beautiful, well equipped, super responsive vehicle, but be forewarned, there's electrical glitches. It left me stranded one morning before work and once again while out with family for dinner. In a matter of two months of ownership. Now, I am always concerned if it will put me in a bad position, like stranded somewhere unsafe or at night.”
