About the 2023 Lexus RZ

1st generation, first model year; all-new launch on Lexus’ dedicated e-TNGA EV platform.

Lexus positions the RZ as an electric luxury crossover that brings the brand’s quiet ride, craftsmanship, and easy daily comfort into an EV format. The emphasis is on a calm, smooth, high-tech driving experience rather than maximum range or aggressive performance numbers. Its key selling points are the airy cabin, minimalist design, standard AWD in the 450e, and the familiar Lexus focus on interior serenity and user-friendly tech.

The 2023 RZ 450e is a two-trim electric luxury crossover with a 308-hp dual-motor AWD system. Premium covers the essentials with a 14-inch touchscreen, panorama glass roof, and heated and ventilated front seats, while Luxury adds upgraded audio, automated parking, a head-up display, and a quieter cabin.

“The car is fun and stylish. I don't normally like to drive, but I like driving in this car.”

“electric cars are not for everyone, they are limited by charge range and owning a conventional gas powered second car is important”

CVCraig V.
2023 Lexus RZ

“The battery range is bad. When I first got the RZ, the fully charged range was 205. Now after having it for 4 months, fully charged it has dropped to 160 miles. The car drives really great, but we have to have a gas powered car for longer, but still local, trips. I'm concerned the range will continue to drop to the point of the car becoming unusable.”
