About the 2023 Hyundai Sonata

8th generation Sonata (DN8), fourth year of the generation and final model year before the 2024 refresh.

Hyundai positions the Sonata as a style-forward midsize sedan that gives buyers more visual flair, more technology, and more powertrain variety than many mainstream rivals. In 2023 that identity still centers on a roomy front-drive sedan with strong value, a long feature list, hybrid efficiency for commuters, and an N Line version for drivers who want much quicker acceleration without leaving the family-sedan class.

The 2023 Sonata ranges from the straightforward SE and efficiency-focused Hybrid Blue to the upscale Limited. The N Line is the performance standout with a 290-hp turbo engine, while Limited models emphasize comfort and technology with leather seating, navigation, heated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

“Love my Hyundai Sonata Limited Hybrid. Classy interior and exterior. Smooth ride, great mpg”

BSBrenton S.

“Really smooth driving, easy controls, nice smart features especially if you're unfamiliar with them, it's not overwhelming. Easy to drive, feels secure. The safety features are nice. Wish the seats had more options for adjustments but they're good and wide. If you're tall, getting in and out can be rough. Overall a great car and love how it looks and drive.”
