About the 2023 Ford F-350

5th generation Super Duty, first year of the 2023 redesign.

Ford positions the F-350 Super Duty as a heavy-duty pickup for people who need more towing, payload, trailer control, and upfit flexibility than a light-duty truck can offer. Its core job is serious work: hauling equipment, towing large trailers, supporting ranch and fleet use, and serving as a mobile tool on job sites. What separates it from many rivals is Ford’s emphasis on towing technology, connected-work features, multiple cab and bed layouts, and luxury trims that keep heavy-duty capability while adding long-haul comfort.

The 2023 F-350 ranges from the durable XL work truck with an 8-inch touchscreen to the more comfortable Lariat with leather-trimmed seats, a 12-inch screen, and a 360-degree camera. King Ranch and Platinum add premium leather, an 18-speaker sound system, and advanced hitch-assist tools, while Limited pairs the high-output diesel with the richest cabin and predictive camera views. Across the lineup, Ford keeps towing and job-site use at the center of the truck’s design.

What changed, by category

Powertrain
A new 6.8-liter gas V8 becomes the F-350’s base engine, and a new high-output 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel joins the range. The high-output diesel is standard on Limited. XLT moves to the 7.3-liter gas V8 and four-wheel drive as standard, while flexible-fuel powertrains are dropped from XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum.
Styling
The F-350 gets a complete exterior and cabin redesign, including new bodywork and trim-specific treatments for versions such as King Ranch and Platinum.
Safety
Several trims receive revised driver-assistance equipment. Adaptive cruise control becomes standard on King Ranch, the 360-degree camera becomes standard on Lariat, and blind-spot monitoring changes from standard to optional on XLT.
Tech
Embedded 5G connectivity and updated touchscreen hardware arrive with the redesign. XL and XLT have an 8-inch touchscreen, while Lariat and higher trims use a 12-inch screen. Expanded camera views, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, and 2.0-kW Pro Power Onboard are featured on upper trims.
