Chevrolet positions the Colorado as a midsize pickup that combines everyday Crew Cab usability with real truck capability. Its main distinction is the breadth of its factory off-road range: Z71 supports daily driving and lighter trail use, Trail Boss adds a lifted wider chassis, and ZR2 supplies specialized suspension and locking differentials. Across the range, the large standard touchscreen and turbocharged truck engine give it a more modern, high-torque character than the prior design.
The 2023 Colorado ranges from the function-first Work Truck and everyday LT to three off-road-focused models. The new Trail Boss has a 2-inch lift and standard 4WD, while the ZR2 adds a 3-inch lift, specialized Multimatic suspension, locking front and rear differentials, and a 310-hp high-output engine. Every trim has an 11.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
