Jeep positions the Compass as the compact Jeep for shoppers who want real Jeep character in a city-friendly size. The core pitch is everyday small-SUV usefulness with stronger off-road credibility than most rivals, thanks to available 4WD systems, Selec-Terrain and the Trailhawk model’s trail hardware. For 2022, Jeep sharpened that identity by pairing the brand’s rugged image with a much more modern cabin, larger screens and a fuller standard safety story.
The lineup ranges from the straightforward Sport and dark-themed Altitude to the more comfort-focused Latitude Lux and Limited. High Altitude adds upscale touches such as a 10.25-inch digital gauge display, panoramic sunroof and Alpine audio, while Trailhawk focuses on off-road use with low-range four-wheel drive, added ground clearance and underbody protection. Touchscreens measure 8.4 or 10.1 inches depending on trim, and both support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
