About the 2022 GMC Yukon

5th generation (2021-2024), second model year.

The Yukon is GMC’s full-size three-row SUV for shoppers who need real passenger room, serious towing ability, and a more upscale look and cabin than its Chevrolet Tahoe relative. GMC leans on space, comfort, and capability: two body lengths, roomy third-row seating, big cargo capacity, and truck-based strength. What separates it from many rivals is the mix of premium trim choices—especially AT4 and Denali—with family-hauling practicality and strong towing confidence.

The 2022 Yukon lineup ranges from the practical SLE and comfort-focused SLT to two more specialized trims. The AT4 pairs standard four-wheel drive with off-road hardware, while the luxury-focused Denali adds features such as a 15-inch head-up display, surround-view cameras, and a 14-speaker Bose audio system.

“Great vehicle, tows great, better fit finish than the Tahoe. Too bad it doesn't have bigger gas tank. Also if you're not tall a pain to get into.”

“I would not recommend this vehicle. After 2 months of having this car. The leather seats in the back are discolored. They were black & now a portion of the seat is blue. Extremely dissatisfied that I spent this much money on a new vehicle and this is what happens. I'm sorry I didn't purchase a different car. I was debating between the Suburban & the Yukon. I wished I got the Suburban. The seats do not discolor.”
