Chevrolet positions the Suburban as the extra-long version of its full-size SUV formula: big family space, serious cargo room behind the third row, strong towing ability, and available upscale or off-road personalities depending on trim. Its core appeal is simple: few SUVs combine this much passenger room, cargo capacity, and truck-based capability in one vehicle. Buyers choose it when a midsize three-row SUV is not enough and a minivan or pickup does not fit the job as well.

The 2022 lineup stretches from the utility-focused LS and comfort-oriented LT to the blacked-out RST and off-road-focused Z71. Premier emphasizes ride comfort and richer cabin materials, while High Country adds features such as a head-up display, surround-view cameras, premium Bose audio, and heated and ventilated leather seats.
