About the 2021 Polestar 1

1st and only generation (introduced for 2020 in the US), final year of production.

Polestar positions the 1 as an exclusive premium performance hybrid rather than a conventional luxury coupe. Its identity is built around rare production numbers, strong electric driving capability for a plug-in hybrid, carbon-fiber-intensive construction, and a carefully finished cabin. Compared with more common grand touring coupes, the Polestar 1 stands out by mixing electric commuting ability with all-wheel-drive performance and low-volume, design-led appeal.

The Polestar 1 remains a rare, richly trimmed grand touring coupe built around carbon-fiber bodywork and a 609-hp plug-in hybrid AWD system with three electric motors. Its cabin features hand-stitched napa leather seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a head-up display, navigation, and Bowers & Wilkins audio, while Pilot Assist combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centering support.
