The four-door GT 43 joined the lineup with a 362-hp turbocharged six-cylinder engine, 48-volt mild-hybrid assist and AWD. The base two-seat Coupe and Roadster rose from 469 to 523 hp and from 465 to 494 lb-ft of torque. The renamed Black Series received a 720-hp flat-plane-crank V8.
Styling
The Black Series gained functional aerodynamic bodywork, including an adjustable front diffuser, a two-stage active rear wing and carbon-fiber body panels. On the four-door GT 63 and GT 63 S, the rear spoiler changed from standard factory equipment to an option.
Tech
The four-door AMG GT models adopted a 12.3-inch touchscreen with the newer MBUX interface and voice control. The two-seat models retained their separate infotainment system.
Structural
Adaptive damping, an electronic limited-slip differential, stronger composite brakes, Race mode and a lightweight lithium-ion starter battery became standard on the base Coupe and Roadster. The Black Series added adjustable coil-over suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, active aerodynamics and extensive chassis changes. The GT R name became Black Series, while the GT R Pro was dropped.
