About the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover

4th generation L405 (2013-2021), third year after the 2018 mid-cycle update; late-cycle powertrain and standard-technology update

The 2020 Range Rover is a full-size luxury SUV built to combine a quiet, richly finished cabin with real off-road ability. Its high seating position, air suspension, two-speed four-wheel-drive system, and adjustable ride height support difficult terrain, while the spacious interior, split tailgate, premium seating, and long-wheelbase versions suit family travel or chauffeured use. Its central distinction is delivering luxury-car comfort without giving up traditional Land Rover capability.

The 2020 lineup ranges from the torque-rich Td6 diesel and core P360 mild hybrid to 518-hp and 557-hp V8 models. HSE trims add softer Windsor leather, heated rear seats, and more driver-assistance equipment, while Autobiography models bring massage seats and a 29-speaker Meridian audio system. Long-wheelbase versions focus on rear-seat space, and the P400e models add plug-in electric driving.

Tech
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto become standard across the lineup through the Smartphone Pack. Keyless entry is also listed as standard on every model.
Safety
Lane-keep assist becomes standard across the lineup. P525 HSE models also gain the broader Drive Pack and Park Pack as standard equipment.
Styling
Shadow Walnut interior veneer becomes standard on the Td6, HSE Td6, P360, P400 HSE, P525 HSE, and P525 HSE LWB trims. Several V8 trims also adopt P525 naming.

“In my opinion this is the nicest vehicle Range Rover produces. The styling and tech is far superior to the Discovery and the big Rover.”

“I love this vehicle, it isn't as small as I thought it would be. I haven't missed having third row seating. I miss the storage space in the console, particularly the hidden storage behind the screen like the Tahoe had but I'm getting used to it. I love the way it handles, it's pretty fast on acceleration and I'm overall very satisfied with this vehicle. My kids are in love with this car!”

“Make sure the Evoque matches your lifestyle and what you're looking for. It's a luxury SUV for everyday driving moreso than off-roading or adventures like other Range Rovers.”
