The speedometer, located on the far right, is a bad spot. It needs to be center on the display

Have had excellent previous experience with KIA. Their electric car has decent range. Workmanship and reliability are good. Has modern features without going bizarre just to be different. Had a unique need - wanted to "solar power" my car using solar panels on my house, and the Kia Niro allows me to do that.

The 2020 Kia Niro is an excellent 4-door hatchback, though Kia refers to it as a small SUV In reality, the dimensions are almost exactly like the 2006 Ford Focus 4-door hatchback I used to drive. It provides excellent utility, with ample room in the back for cargo, especially with the seats folded down. Because it is a hybrid electric vehicle, acceleration is sluggish in Eco mode, but is much better in Sport mode, though you sacrifice gas mileage. I am patient and realize that the purpose of a hybrid electric vehicle is to save gas, so the acceleration is not a problem for me. I buy nine gallons of gas once a month, so gas expense is minimal. The average gas mileage will vary depending on the roads where you typically drive. The flatter the roads, the better the gas mileage. Also, the gas mileage will be lower in the winter because heat is still generated by the engine, so the engine will run longer when the car starts to provide heat for the cabin, reducing the average gas mileage. The interior is great. I particularly like the infotainment system. It's easy to use and has Android Auto, which I use frequently (it also has Apple Car Play for those that have iPhones). The sound system is pretty good. With some fine tuning of the equalizer, I feel like I get a full range of sound from the speakers. Overall, the 2020 Kia Niro is a great gas-sipping car that's fun to drive.
