About the 2020 BMW X6

3rd generation X6 (G06), first year of the redesign.

BMW positions the X6 as a style-first luxury midsize SUV that mixes the raised seating position and everyday usefulness of an SUV with the lower, more dramatic look of a coupe. In practice, it is the more extroverted alternative to the X5: same basic luxury and strong engines, but with bolder design, a more attention-grabbing profile, and BMW’s usual emphasis on quick responses and road manners.

The sDrive40i is the rear-wheel-drive entry point, while the xDrive40i adds all-wheel drive for better all-weather traction. Both use a 335-hp turbocharged six-cylinder engine and have dual 12.3-inch displays, navigation, heated front seats, and a panoramic moonroof. The M50i is the performance-focused version, with a 523-hp twin-turbo V8, an upgraded suspension and brakes, Harman Kardon audio, and four-zone climate control.

“The vehicle seems to have a lot of road noise and because of that the voice control does not work properly; in some cases, it doesn't work at all.”
