Great car blending performance and luxury...sportier than a M-B AMG63 and more comfortable/luxurious/roomier than a Porsche 911 Turbo S

The M8 competition is the ultimate driving machine moment. There's a lot of great vehicles out there, that's why I chose my BMW.

If you are looking for a drop dead, sexy, beast of a car - this is one hell of a way to get there. Very quick and responsive - yet a big comfortable car for you and one other person, aside from the seats (more on them later). The back seat is best described as a torture chamber for anyone larger than a fetus. Trunk space is ample and great for a weekend trip with the significant other. Mileage would be better if I could keep myself from acting like a child and mashing the throttle at every opportunity. Addictive acceleration is an understatement. Seat comfort long distance is a bit lacking and I truly wish this car had the multi-contour seats my M5 had - at this price point, the seats should be more comfortable and the best BMW has to offer - these are not the seats you want to spend the day in. This is the FIRST BMW I have owned that made me question whether to take it on a long trip or not. Besides the seats, my biggest complaints are the softness of the paint (front and rockers look like HELL after almost 4,000 miles to the point that I will not drive it again until I have it wrapped in protective film!) Every trip is more paint gone. This is not an exaggeration. Also: If you have the means, buy the carbon ceramic brakes - my car does not have them and the brake dust is horrid and these competition wheels are impossible to clean. Makes for a horrible cleaning experience.

The rear passenger space is non-existent. That is the only thing I dislike about the M8.

The integration with Car Play/Apple absolutely sucks and there is a complete disconnect between Connected Drive and BMW finance that is more than massively offensive.

Be prepared to purchase a winter driver. The summer tires prevent use in snow, cold and other extreme conditions. they're the reason for the Jeep!
