About the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek

2nd generation (2018-2023), second model year.

Subaru positions the Crosstrek as a small SUV for drivers who want everyday practicality with extra bad-weather and light-trail confidence. Its core appeal is standard all-wheel drive, useful ground clearance, hatchback-like maneuverability, and a cabin that is easy to live with. Compared with many small crossovers, the Crosstrek leans more toward outdoor capability and rough-road confidence than quick acceleration or flashy luxury.

The 2019 Crosstrek ranges from a practical base SUV with standard all-wheel drive and smartphone integration to the more polished Limited with leather-trimmed seats, an 8-inch touchscreen, and added driver assists. The new Hybrid combines a gas engine, two electric motors, and an 8.8-kWh battery while retaining all-wheel drive and useful trail features such as hill descent control.

“It's a good car with the exception of the cruise control ( I HATE it) Had I know how it works I probably wouldn't have gotten the car. I'm afraid I'll Have a wreck one day while I'm trying to get it to work. If it's operator error then that's still a problem with the design. It's loud on acceleration and very noisy cooling off. However it's a very safe and dependable vehicle.”

“I absolutely love my Subaru Crosstrek! The Crosstrek is perfect for a person looking for something bigger than a sedan and smaller than your typical SUV. Maintenance is easy and in the two years I have had it, I have had no issues. I will definitely always buy Subaru from this experience.”

“It's a little too much like a truck, not as comfortable as our Outback. Might not purchase this model again.”
