Ascent has amazing air conditioning/heating all over the car. Rear air with adjustments in all 3 rows. Third row folds flat for extra storage. Excellent pick up.

Nice comfortable ride. Quiet. Mediocre fuel performance. Expect 19-20 mpg for city driving. Expect 23-24 mpg for hwy. Took 2400 mile road trip - almost all interstate highway - and average mileage was 23.6 mpg. Test drive the "electronic" feature of this vehicle. Make sure the safety features and the Info/entertainment system features are what you expect them to be. I don't care for the Info/entertainment system. It is not very user friendly. I don't think it was well thought out. It looks like a hodge-podge of capabilities thrown together to try to sell subscription services. And too much useless garbage displayed on both the main unit and the smaller display in the dashboard. The system has no off button and there is a lot of Apps clutter when the system is on. 90% of the apps are not useable, especially while driving. It is a distraction from actually getting to the apps that you use regularly and I think it is not just a nuisance but also a safety- issue. System screens should be configurable to allow user to displays apps they want and hide ones they don't.

It is a nice vehicle, but the gas milage is terrible. I get better gas mileage in my pickup truck. Also, the software is not easy to use. to do some simple things such as change date and time. Also, the rear lift gate does not have safety sensors. I tried opening it too near a pole (my fault), but the lift gate continued to open bending the sheet metal . If that was a child, it would have crushed their ribs.
