About the 2019 Mercedes-Benz SLC

3rd SLK/SLC generation (R172, 2011-2020), renamed SLC for 2017; 2019 is the next-to-last US model year.

Mercedes-Benz positions the SLC as a compact luxury roadster that mixes open-air fun with the comfort and security of a folding metal roof. Its signature appeal is that it can feel like a snug coupe with the roof up and an open roadster with the roof down, while still delivering Mercedes cabin details and easy everyday drivability. Compared with softer-top rivals, the SLC leans more toward stylish cruising and year-round usability than all-out track focus.

The SLC 300 is the more relaxed, elegant version of this two-seat roadster, with a 241-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a nine-speed automatic. Its signature feature is a power-folding hardtop with a panoramic roof panel, while power sport seats, a 7-inch center display, and automatic emergency braking cover the everyday comforts and essentials.
