Mercedes-AMG positioned the AMG GT range as a meeting point between track-developed performance and long-distance luxury. The two-seat Coupe and Roadster emphasize a front-mid-engine layout, rear transaxle, low weight and direct handling. The new 4-Door extends that performance focus to four occupants, adding a useful rear cabin and hatchback cargo area without turning the car into a conventional luxury sedan.

The new four-door models bring three powertrains: a 429-hp turbo inline-six mild hybrid in the GT 53, a 577-hp twin-turbo V8 in the GT 63 and a 630-hp twin-turbo V8 in the GT 63 S. All three use variable-torque all-wheel drive; the two-seat models keep their previous powertrains.
Styling
A four-door fastback body style joins the existing two-seat Coupe and Roadster. The two-seat range receives no broad exterior refresh, though the GT R’s rear spoiler moves from standard to optional equipment.
Tech
The four-door models introduce dual 12.3-inch digital displays and display-based center-console controls. Heated and ventilated front seats become standard on the GT C Coupe, while remote start moves from standard to optional on the core Coupe, GT R and Roadster.
Structural
The new four-door models use their own four-seat platform and an adaptive multilink suspension. The structure of the existing two-seat sports cars is unchanged.
