2019 Mazda CX-9

Performance, safety, conform, response, easy to navigate, strongest of all seasons.

Who is it for, male or female. SUV's are large and many women are uncomfortable in getting into higher seating. Not so with the CX-9. Quieter interior, easily managed info system and stylish exterior along with good gas mileage.

Highly recommend it.

Mazda has a LOT of work to do on their infotainment system. It's disappointing at best for the following reasons: 1. taken safety too far - passenger cannot enter address into nav while the vehicle is moving (ever other vehicle I have owned does). 2. when you have the music set to a given medium - radio, XM...etc., you cannot simply scroll through channels from the dial (you can, to a point, from the steering wheel controls) - you have to click into XM (even through that is already the focus), then go to your favorites, and then it just shows a flat list rather than a tile with info on the artist song playing...etc. very basic stuff. So disappointing and frustrating. 3. When you turn off your vehicle, it immediately turns off the sound system. Even the most basic vehicle I have owned in the last 20 years doesn't turn off the sound system until the driver side door is opened. It's just really, really poorly designed. Perhaps the good news is this stuff should be able to be addressed in software and/or firmware updates. I hope Mazda takes this seriously. It's so fundamental to any vehicle and I absolutely would not buy another Mazda unless this aspect of the vehicle is addressed. In fact, my wife and I have buyer's remorse. Extremely disappointed. The last thing is that while the vehicle is fairly quiet, when initially accelerating or speeding up to pass, the engine rev is oddly loud in the cabin.

The driving experience is phenomenal-I love driving my car! The safety features are amazing and I love the Apple/Android car play. I have not driven it in snow yet, so I cannot comment on the AWD.

The experience of driving is amazing; the smooth handling, quiet ride, sport turbo acceleration and overall oneness with the vehicle make it truly unique. Flexibility to have more passengers or cargo makes it versatile.
