2019 Lexus LS

About the 2019 Lexus LS

5th generation (2018-2020 pre-refresh), second model year after the full 2018 redesign.

Lexus positions the LS as its global flagship sedan: long, low, and dramatic in shape, with a cabin centered on craftsmanship, quiet comfort and advanced safety technology. Compared with European rivals, the LS leans more toward design, ride isolation, interior detail and long-term dependability than all-out sportiness. The model’s core appeal is getting full-size luxury-sedan presence with either strong twin-turbo gas power or a more efficiency-minded hybrid, without giving up the LS’s calm, upscale character.

The LS 500 is the comfort-focused core model, with a 416-hp twin-turbo V6, a 12.3-inch display and heated and ventilated front seats. The LS 500 F SPORT adds sharper styling, larger brakes and sport-tuned suspension, while the 354-hp LS 500h uses a non-plug-in hybrid system for quieter, more efficient driving.

Frequently asked questions

Does the 2019 Lexus LS have Apple CarPlay?

Yes. Apple CarPlay becomes standard for 2019 and works through the LS’s 12.3-inch display.
