About the 2019 Lexus GS
4th generation GS (2013-2020 in the U.S.), next-to-last model year before the model left the lineup.
Lexus positioned the GS as its driver-focused midsize luxury sedan: a car with rear-drive balance, available AWD, and sharper handling than the softer ES, but still with Lexus quietness, comfort, and build quality. In this range, buyers could move from a refined daily sedan to a more athletic F SPORT, or all the way up to the V8-powered GS F. The 2019 GS ranges from the rear-wheel-drive, turbocharged GS 300 to the V6-powered GS 350, with F SPORT versions adding firmer suspension tuning, sport seats, and more aggressive styling. The GS F sits at the top as the high-performance model, pairing a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with upgraded brakes, an adaptive suspension, and heated and ventilated leather sport seats.
