“The only issue I have is with the infotainment system. For a 2019 vehicle to not have Satellite Radio or Apple / Android play is unheard of. The system is extremely slow, and to the point of wanting to replace the system with an after market system. I don't understand why such a prestigious brand doesn't understand the needs of the entertainment system while driving.”
2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport: What's New, Specs & Features
Last updated August 4, 2026

The main change for the 2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport is the new Landmark Edition, a special model with distinct exterior trim and a curated feature set. The rest of the vehicle receives only light trim-lineup updates rather than a full redesign.
About the 2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport
1st generation Discovery Sport (L550), final full model year before the 2020 redesign/new platform.
Land Rover positions the Discovery Sport as a compact luxury SUV that mixes family usefulness with real rough-road ability. Its core appeal is offering a smaller, easier-to-park package than the larger Discovery while still giving buyers standard all-wheel drive, Terrain Response, strong towing ability for the class, and the option of a small third row. Compared with many luxury compact SUVs, it leans more toward adventure, bad-weather confidence, and flexible passenger/cargo space.
The 2019 Discovery Sport ranges from the straightforward SE to the comfort-focused HSE Luxury, with standard all-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic across the lineup. HSE adds features such as a panoramic roof and leather seating, while the Dynamic models pair sportier body and cabin trim with a stronger 286-hp engine tune. The Landmark Edition stands out with unique exterior details, an Ebony leather cabin and a panoramic roof.
