About the 2019 Audi Q3

2nd generation, first U.S. model year of the redesign

The Q3 is Audi’s smallest SUV, but Audi positions it as a true entry point to the brand rather than a stripped-down budget model. Its core appeal is a city-friendly size paired with standard AWD, a polished cabin, easy-to-use tech, and flexible cargo seating. Against rivals, the Q3’s main differentiators are its richer interior presentation, standard digital displays, and a more premium feel than many small luxury SUVs manage at this size.

The redesigned Q3 is a compact luxury SUV with standard all-wheel drive, heated leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, digital gauges, and smartphone integration. Premium Plus trims add useful parking and driver-assistance features, while S line models have sportier bodywork and 19-inch wheels. S line Prestige tops the range with larger displays, navigation, premium audio, adaptive cruise control, and a top-view camera.

What changed, by category

Powertrain
A new 228-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder replaces the previous 200-hp version. It produces 258 lb-ft of torque and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard quattro all-wheel drive.
Styling
The exterior is fully redesigned and larger in every major dimension. S line Premium and S line Prestige join the lineup with sportier bumpers, side sills, and 19-inch wheels; Sport Premium is dropped, and Sport Premium Plus continues under the S line Premium Plus name.
Safety
Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking becomes standard. Premium Plus adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and parking sensors, while S line Prestige adds adaptive cruise control, a top-view camera, and park steering assist.
Tech
A 10.25-inch digital instrument display and an 8.8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto become standard. S line Prestige upgrades to a 12.3-inch instrument display, a 10.1-inch navigation touchscreen, and a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
Structural
A new body structure and revised interior layout create substantially more rear-seat space. Rear legroom rises from 31.1 to 36.1 inches, and a sliding, reclining 40/20/40-split rear seat improves cargo flexibility.
