About the 2018 Land Rover Discovery

5th generation Discovery, second model year after the all-new 2017 redesign.

Land Rover positioned the Discovery as its full-size family SUV that blends premium comfort with genuine trail ability. In the brand’s own messaging, it is the versatile, three-row Discovery-family model: roomy enough for adults across multiple rows, strong at towing, and still built to handle rough terrain and bad weather. What separates it from many luxury three-row rivals is that its cabin flexibility and upscale feel sit alongside real 4WD capability rather than just a rugged look.

The 2018 Discovery remains a roomy, upscale SUV with serious off-road hardware. SE covers the essentials with leather seating, a panoramic glass roof, and touchscreen navigation, while HSE adds richer cabin technology and comfort features. HSE Luxury is the most comfort-focused trim, with seven seats, power-folding third-row seating, air suspension, low-range gearing, and upgraded leather.

“LOVe IT if I had to say anything negative about it would be I loose items a lot down the sides of the 2 front seats and its so narrow hard to get in out, i would tell them to buy something to be able to put i the cracks.”

“The vehicle's handling and ride are very smooth. I really like all of the luxury features and technology. The styling is also distinctive, especially with the black rims that I chose. I like the push-button start and the shifting dial that pops up. I like the panoramic moon roof but wish that I could actually open it.”
