If you drive less than 50 miles a day but occasionally want to do some long-distance driving, the Volt is a perfect option. Having the gas generator takes away the range anxiety of an all-electric vehicle since there's still more gas stations than EV charging stations in the less-traveled roads. It's roomy enough to take along friends and everyone be comfortable. It's good for the environment. And I recommend having a level 2 charging station installed for efficient recharging at home.
