My towing needs changed and I needed to purchase a vehicle with larger towing capacity. Instead of purchasing a heavy duty truck with a diesel engine, I opted to stay with a half-ton and ordered it with the 6.2 liter gas engine. The 6.2 liter engine paired with the new 8 speed transmission fits my needs perfectly. I can tow easily, and get fantastic fuel mileage without needing to step up to a heavy duty truck and all of the hassles associated with a diesel engine.

Climb in and sit down several times and realize how unhandy it is to get ready to drive. Very unnecessary for them to build pickups so high and in fact stupid looking with all the clearance around the back wheels. Seeing the frame and spring hangers is very poor engineering. They could really be better designed.

I thought the Chevrolet was more luxurious than the Limited Toyota I had before. The Ford and Toyota both new models had not changed that much over the years. I wanted something different than what I had before.

I love this versatile truck, with the crew cab there is plenty of room for 4-5 adults to sit comfortably. The tow/haul is great for towing the camper. Also the 4 wheel drive is a must in the winter in New England.
