About the 2018 Cadillac XT5

1st generation XT5, second model year (introduced for 2017; before the 2020 refresh).

Cadillac markets the XT5 as a style-forward midsize luxury crossover built around comfort, cabin flexibility, and easy everyday use. The brochure emphasizes a spacious interior, a versatile sliding and folding rear seat, smartphone-friendly infotainment, and a strong V6, while Edmunds highlights its generous interior room and relaxed, confident ride. In shopper terms, the XT5 is the Cadillac choice for buyers who want a roomy two-row luxury SUV with distinctive styling rather than a tightly sporty feel.

The 2018 XT5 is a roomy two-row luxury crossover with a 310-hp V6, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Luxury adds leather, a panoramic sunroof, and heated front seats, while Premium Luxury brings navigation, a 14-speaker Bose system, and a broader safety suite. Platinum tops the range with standard AWD, richer leather, a head-up display, and a top-view camera system.

How the 2019 Cadillac XT5 compares

“I love the over all look of the inside and outside of the car. I love the smooth ride. I look the different options that were offered in the car. The only thing that I hate is the phone charging doesn't work for any of my phones. I have different versions of phones and none of them work.”

“I am very happy with this purchase. My best vehicle purchase ever. There is one thing my vehicle does that am not sure is good for the engine, it stops & restarts whenever I stop. This happens a lot since I live and drive in a busy city. Is this really okay for the engine to constantly go through the strain of restarting constantly?”

“I love my car! It's spacious, and fits all my needs, especially with my job. The mileage is so much better than I had anticipated! I do wish I considered more features such as blind spot, lane change, sun roof etc. However, it doesn't change how I feel about the car itself! Great value, great vehicle. I know it will be around for awhile :)”
