About the 2017 Toyota Sienna

3rd gen (2011-2020), late-cycle powertrain update year after the 2015 refresh.

Toyota positions the Sienna as the family van that combines easy-access practicality with real power and all-weather confidence. Its core appeal is room for seven or eight, sliding-door convenience, strong V6 performance, and the fact that this generation could be found with AWD when rivals could not. Compared with big three-row crossovers, the Sienna leans on lower step-in height, flexible seating, and genuine cargo usefulness, while SE and Limited trims add either a sportier personality or a more premium cabin.

The 2017 lineup spans from the practical L and family-focused LE to the sportier SE and comfort-oriented XLE. The SE stands out with firmer suspension tuning and sharper styling, while the Limited emphasizes luxury with leather seating, JBL audio, navigation, a heated steering wheel, and a dual moonroof. Premium versions add a large rear entertainment display and more family-focused convenience features.

“The location of the spare tire, under the body exposed to harsh winter chemicals is a very poor design. Vehicle has a surprising amount of road noise for a new vehicle. Bluetooth microphone has poor audio quality.”

“The Toyota Sienna has been a reliable family van. It easily shifts from hauling tables to bringing kids to a ballgame and is able to comfortably fit my family on long drives to our favorite destinations.”

“Good vehicle, this could be build more user friendly. Few features like the controls and the truck closing, center captain seats movement could be done more user friendly.”
