About the 2017 Jeep Patriot

1st generation (2007-2017), final year.

Jeep positioned the Patriot as a small, square-shaped SUV for shoppers who wanted classic Jeep styling and useful cargo space in a straightforward package. Its biggest difference from many compact crossovers of the time was that it still offered real trail-oriented hardware through the available Freedom Drive II system, while everyday versions kept a simple, easy-to-understand cabin and upright SUV shape.

The 2017 Patriot ranged from the simple, utility-focused Sport to the more comfortable Latitude, which added heated front seats and everyday power features. The High Altitude Edition dressed things up with leather-trimmed heated seats, a power driver seat, and a sunroof. The 75th Anniversary model paired bronze appearance details with the 2.4-liter engine and six-speed automatic transmission.
