2017 INFINITI QX60

The most important lineup-wide change for the 2017 INFINITI QX60 is a new 8-inch InTouch center display. Gas-powered 3.5 models also receive a stronger 295-horsepower V6, but this is an update rather than a redesign.

About the 2017 INFINITI QX60

1st generation QX60 (L50, sold as QX60 from 2014-2020; descended from the 2013 JX35), second year after the 2016 refresh.

Infiniti positioned the QX60 as a premium three-row family crossover built around easy third-row access, flexible seating, and a more upscale cabin than mainstream rivals. The brand’s messaging centered on roominess for seven, child-seat-friendly second-row access, quiet comfort, and a long list of safety and convenience features. In other words, the QX60’s core job was to move families in a more polished, more luxurious way, not to be the sportiest SUV in the class.

The 2017 QX60 is a premium three-row family crossover with seven seats, a sliding second row, and easier access to the third row. The 3.5 combines its stronger V6 with leather-appointed seating and heated front seats, while the efficiency-focused Hybrid has a 250-horsepower gas-electric system, navigation, Bose audio, and a heated steering wheel.

Frequently asked questions

Was the 2017 INFINITI QX60 redesigned?

No. The 2017 QX60 keeps the same basic first-generation design and follows the exterior refresh introduced for 2016. Its main updates are the new 8-inch center display and a stronger V6 in gas-powered models.

What engine change did the 2017 QX60 receive?

The gas-powered 2017 QX60 receives a new direct-injection 3.5-liter V6 with 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. The 2016 version produced 265 horsepower and 248 lb-ft.

Does every 2017 INFINITI QX60 have an 8-inch display?

Yes. Every 2017 QX60 has an 8-inch Infiniti InTouch center display. The Hybrid pairs it with touchscreen navigation and voice controls, while the gas 3.5 uses an Infiniti control dial.

Did the 2017 QX60 Hybrid get a new powertrain?

No. The 2017 QX60 Hybrid keeps its basic 250-horsepower system with a supercharged 2.5-liter engine, an electric motor, and a continuously variable automatic transmission. Its notable update is the 8-inch InTouch touchscreen with navigation and voice controls.

Is the 2017 QX60 a major upgrade over the 2016 model?

No, it is a focused update rather than a major overhaul. The clearest reasons to favor the 2017 model are its stronger gas V6 and standard 8-inch InTouch display; the 2016 model had already received the larger exterior refresh.

“I love my Infiniti, however it does not have Wi-Fi or Google map. Otherwise it's a good car.”

“Great smooth vomfort ride, however no auto brake systm and no auto brake speed adjustment on the cruise control. You would expect that in a vehicle of this class. Surprised Mitsubishi Outlander has these features”

“We love our new Infiniti QX 60...so much so that we purchased another Infiniti. The ride is unparallelled.”
