Hyundai positioned the Tucson as a compact five-seat SUV balancing city-friendly size with useful passenger and cargo space. Its main strengths were easy maneuverability, a smooth ride, straightforward controls, available AWD, and a broad range of comfort and technology equipment. The 2017 lineup ranges from the straightforward 2.0-liter SE to turbocharged Eco, Sport and Limited models.
