The Dodge Journey SXT V-6 is a solid, inexpensive vehicle that is comfortable to drive, but has sufficient reserve power and handling when needed. Most likely, with a light to moderate foot, you will be able to beat the fuel ratings by 1-3 points, which will push highway mpg to 26-29 mph and city mpg to 20-23 mpg using regular gasoline. By having the oil filter on top of the engine, self oil changes are a breeze.

Don't buy it. The small 4 cylinder has no power to carry the heavy weight of the vehicle, and makes it difficult to drive in Large city traffic. Even though it is comfortable, the lack of amenities offered for the price leaves it lacking. This would probably keep me from going back to the Dodge brand, next vehicle purchase will most likely be Jeep or Chevy.

Make sure you state what vehicle has to have, and not settle.

we bought this vehicle because it was all wheel drive and has towing capacity to pull a utility trailer with my motorcycle on it, great pickup and enough room to have our grand children fit in

Overall, nice vehicle. 3rd row is small, seats are not easily maneuvered to access 3rd row.

Do not purchase it unless you are looking for a 4-cylinder SUV. It lacks power and has poor gas mileage for a 4-cylinder vehicle.
