The towing power has the maximum of what I need and that is exactly why I switched from the 2500 to the 3500 and I am happy I did it...the gas mileage is approximately the same so I cannot complain. All in all, I did great with the transaction.

That there is no leg room. No interiors room at all. The truck drives freaking awesome. Tows great but compared to my Ford there is no room in the cab at all.

Needed a heavy duty truck to tow a large RV. Purchased the 6.0 Vortec instead of diesel to see if a gas vehicle can do the job. Diesel option is very expensive and the extra cost would not pay me back over the life of the truck if the gas engine can do the job. I purchased the 2500HD and possibly should have purchased the 3500 as I think I may need air bags to keep the rig level.

The new power train and characteristics are an outstanding combination of power and smoothness. Towing a large 5th wheel or horse trailers are equally effortless. Seats are a little hard but overall comfort and features are good.
