2016 Kia Soul EV
The Kia Soul EV has been thoroughly enjoyable to drive, financially rewarding to lease and ethically responsible in light of climate change. It is entirely within the realm of consideration for most urban residents, retirees and as a second vehicle for larger households.

Great package, excellent range for the price, the free after sale available update to the in dash navigation and UVO system is almost unheard of in this industry. A BEV that is meeting our transportation requirements.

It is great for users who don't drive far distances often. Charging stations are available but not terribly convenient. Great getting off gas though.

To drive 25 miles at 25 miles to a gallon you will pay $2.50 but with this car we pay $.30. If you want a run about town car you can't beat this one for cost savings, comfort, and freedom from oil changes. California gave us a $1500 rebate! California gave us stickers to drive in the HOV lane. The Electric company reduced our rates from $28 a kwh to $13 if we recharge after 10 p.m. and this car can be set to begin charging at any time. If we drive 60 miles in a day we can have the car recharged to the max in 6 hours using our 220 volt outlet.

Higher quality and workmanship, versatility, minimum range, and tax incentives are the reason to consider for this vehicle.

You can allegedly disable all the remote electronic tracking by removing the SIM card from the computer. (Not sure I actually believe that, though.) The estimated battery range is far, far lower when it's cold, when driving at highway speeds, and when carrying passengers, but overall it's not bad. The electronics are wonky, for example radio turns on when going over a bump in the road. The car has a few weird user-control issues, like refusing to be set on "heat" when it thinks it ought to "auto-defrost." It has more cargo room that you might expect, especially with the seats down. Drivers shouldn't fear an electric car because charging is easy and public chargers are widely available, but this car is not suitable for out-of-state trips.
