About the 2016 Jeep Patriot

1st generation (2007-2017), second-to-last model year; late in the original Patriot’s product cycle

Jeep positioned the Patriot as a compact five-seat SUV with upright, traditional Jeep styling, a practical folding rear seat, and configurations ranging from simple front-wheel-drive transportation to 4WD versions with added trail capability. Its core appeal was an easy-to-manage footprint and recognizable Jeep character, with more off-pavement ability in properly equipped versions than many car-based compact crossovers of the period.

For 2016, the Patriot ranges from the utility-focused Sport to the more comfortable Latitude and High Altitude Edition. Sport SE adds heated front seats and 17-inch wheels, while High Altitude brings heated leather-trimmed seats, a power driver seat, and a sunroof. The 75th Anniversary edition stands out with heritage-themed details, a sunroof, remote start, and a 172-hp 2.4-liter engine paired with a six-speed automatic.

“I really like my 2016 Jeep Patriot. Living in an area where there is a lot of nature, I'm able to take my Jeep off roading without worrying about messing it up. It gets me from point A to point B and has tons of space. The dash and whatnot is not entirely modern, but it doesn't really bother me :)”

“The jeep patriot is a great little suv. Works great in all weather conditions, has amazing turning radius, gets great gas mileage, it's a basic vehicle as far as options go but that's how I like it.”
