About the 2016 FIAT 500X

1st generation (Type 334), first U.S. model year / all-new launch

FIAT positioned the 500X as an Italian-styled small crossover for shoppers who wanted personality without giving up day-to-day usefulness. It keeps the rounded 500-family look and playful cabin design, but adds seating for five, flexible cargo space, an easier step-in height, and available all-wheel drive. In plain terms, it is a city-friendly subcompact SUV with more style than most rivals, with Street trims leaning comfort-focused and Trekking trims leaning tougher-looking.

The Pop trim covers the basics, while Easy adds the stronger everyday focus of a 2.4-liter engine, nine-speed automatic, touchscreen, keyless entry, and remote start. Trekking brings tougher-looking bumpers, while Lounge emphasizes comfort with navigation, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Trekking Plus combines the rugged look with leather-trimmed seats, navigation, blind-spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors.

“The Fiat 500 X is a small SUV with AWD. It's both sporty and practical. It has plenty of cargo space, can seat five, has comfortable seats and lots of air bags. It handles well and it's fun to drive. The three drive modes allow for a choice of all weather traction, best gas mileage, or responsiveness. Stereo has good sound and pairs well with my iPhone.”
