About the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V

3rd generation CTS-V sedan (2016-2019), first year / all-new redesign

Cadillac positions the CTS-V as a luxury sport sedan with true track capability straight from the factory. The core pitch is simple: supercar-level V8 power, serious chassis hardware, and an upscale cabin that still works as an everyday four-door. Against rivals like the BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG E63, Cadillac’s message is big performance without turning the car into a stripped-down weekend toy.

Cadillac positioned the 2016 CTS-V as a luxury sedan with serious track capability rather than a stripped-down race car. Its signature hardware includes adjustable Magnetic Ride Control suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, a carbon-fiber hood, and an 8-inch touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and wireless phone charging.

“Don't do it. It has the back seat room of a Corolla, no storage space in the cockpit for such things as cell phone, a cup of coffee, or soft drink. The electronics seem counter intuitive, the location of some features is confusing and inconvenient. I only have 5,000 miles on this car and I am looking at trading already.”

“It is a very nice car, but it has limitations that my previous CTS did not. Overall, it is a decent car for the price and has many new and innovative features.”
