“The Buick Cascada is a fun vehicle to drive! I love the freedom of putting the top down, blasting some music and just cruising the streets. The overall build of the vehicle is great, low noise, decent mileage. The top is easy to operate and can be done while the vehicle is in motion.”
2016 Buick Cascada: What's New, Specs & Features
Last updated August 4, 2026

The 2016 Buick Cascada marks the model’s U.S. debut and Buick’s return to factory-built convertibles after 25 years. It arrives as an all-new four-seat convertible focused more on comfortable cruising than sporty driving.
About the 2016 Buick Cascada
Single U.S.-market Cascada generation (2016-2019), first year.
Buick positions the Cascada as a relaxed, premium-feeling four-seat convertible rather than a hard-edged sports car. The appeal is open-air driving without giving up comfort: a quiet insulated roof when the top is up, easy top-down operation, a roomy front seat, and upscale comfort features even in the base trim. Against smaller or pricier rivals, Cascada’s identity is value-rich cruising with real everyday usability for four people.
The Cascada is a comfort-focused convertible offered in well-equipped 1SV and Premium trims. Both have heated leather-appointed front seats, navigation, and an insulated power soft top, while the Premium adds forward collision alert, lane departure warning, front parking sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.

2016 Buick Cascada Reviews
What owners are saying about the 2016 Buick Cascada.
“Fun affordable convertible. Buick builds a quality vehicle. The interior dash, radio, navigation is very outdated. Bought a 2016 model but those items looked like they came from 2006. The Cascade is a very sharp looking vehicle and unique. Get asked about it when I drive it around, especially with the top down.”
“Since I drive a convertible I assumed there would be a lock on the glove compartment. Have had 7 convertibles. All had locks on glove compartment. Last one a Toyota Camry Solara I loved had a lock on glove compartment, and a lock for the gas cap and the trunk. Toyota doesn't make that car anymore but I would have bought another one in a second. It was a better size than Buick Cascada.”
